Shanelly thought Mike was warm, joyful, and easy to talk to. Mike liked the way Shanelly looked at him, thought she was funny, and felt he could be completely himself with her.

Mike told Shanelly he loved her on a Ferris wheel at the state fair. He said it slipped out — he had planned to wait until she met his mom, but he just couldn’t wait.
